📣 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 📣
- - - -
On Tuesday 12th October, we, the organisers of NHS Workers for Fair Pay - Scotland, will be meeting with Humza Yousaf to discuss the fair pay campaign and the current state of our NHS from a frontline perspective.
To help us set our agenda, we want to know what you would like us to take to the Heath Minister; we’re looking for your thoughts, your feelings, your experiences and your suggestions for improvement within your workplace.
We’re also still looking for people to email us with their experiences of unsafe staffing/patient safety issues; anything shared with us will remain completely anonymous. Click the button below to email us.
A Grassroots Campaign
Founded in July 2020, NHS Workers For Fair Pay - Scotland is an offshoot of the nationwide Nurses Say No campaign, created in response to Westminster offering all public sector key workers a pay rise as a reward for working through the pandemic, except for frontline healthcare workers.
NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) workers have lost up to 20% of their pay in the last decade and enough is enough! We need fair pay for the job we do, and deserve pay parity with our colleagues in the public sector.
United we are stronger!
This campaign is for and by healthcare workers.
Every individual has the ability to motivate others and inspire true change, and the old saying “strength in numbers” couldn’t be more true for the campaign.
Real, effective change in NHS pay conditions won’t happen if workers don’t stick together. We need each and every person to join the campaign and play their part; Talk to your colleagues - Join us on social media and share posts - Come to events - Get active within your union.
Our campaign originated from passionate healthcare workers who were sick and tired of the government undervaluing their work, and being paid less and less each year due to pay freezes and under inflation “rises.”
Our mission, as a grassroots campaign, is to unite all healthcare workers in the fight for fair pay, to encourage action within unions, to demonstrate and make our voices heard in the hopes of securing fair and equal pay.
NHS Workers For Fair Pay - Scotland is an offshoot of the Nurses Say No campaign. We have also been lucky to build strong relationships with many organisations whose ethos is very much in line with that of our campaign and whose support has been strong, consistent and much appreciated :
